ThinkFree Server - How it works

ThinkFree Server provides a way to launch office applications via web. By simple click, the full featured office applications will be automatically cached on each client PC and run within a web browser. Once launched, it won't use server system resources. The server is simply hosting application through web site.

Using built-in APIs, users can simply click a link below to open documents in ThinkFree Office.

Saving remote document back to a server integ

If you open a document using ThinkFree Office on a web browser, you might want to save your changes to the server. This requires the application to transmit the document to the original server which requires an access privilege to your remote storage.

We created APIs for this kind of integration. Using our implementation of integration API, you could use ThinkFree Office within your web-based solution.

The picture shows an example of the integration scenario. A manager published a web page of expense report. Employees will need to access their own page to enter data in the spreadsheet. Once saved, the manager will get every report from all of their employees.

Saving document back to FTP server

In the following example, we provide sample code for the integration of ThinkFree Server with an FTP server. By following this sample code, you can develop the ability to save documents to any standard FTP server from within the ThinkFree Office application.
